The mechanism of HPR :
(1) After the body absorbs retinol, if it cannot consume it, it will be converted into retinol palmitate and stored. When needed, the palmitate bond will be hydrolyzed by esterase , and retinol will be released. 
(2) The retinol is stripped of a hydrogen atom and oxidized to retinal, an intermediate state.
(3) Retinal is further oxidized, adding an oxygen atom and becoming retinic acid. Retinoic acid, or retinoic acid, which is the actual form of retinoid action, enters the nucleus, binds to the trans-retinoic acid reaction element, and initiates the appropriate gene expression process.
